How Deedglass relates to the tools you might already use, with the cases where you should pick them instead.
- A read-only Postgres role, or Deedglass
If your agent only reads, use a read-only role. You don't need Deedglass. This page is for when that stops being enough.
- Database branches, or Deedglass
Branches win until the change has to reach production. Let the agent work on a copy, and use Deedglass where it has to write to the real thing.
- Deedglass and Claw Patrol
Claw Patrol gates each agent action at the wire before it reaches the system. Deedglass also checks what Postgres committed afterwards, seals a record anyone can check, and can undo the rows.
- Deedglass and Pipelock
Pipelock is an agent firewall that proxies an agent's traffic, scans its MCP traffic and signs its decisions. Deedglass adds what Postgres committed after each call, and undo for the rows.
- Langfuse and LangSmith, and Deedglass
Traces show what the agent said. Deedglass's check shows what Postgres did.
- MCP gateways, and Deedglass
Gateways route and authorise tool calls. Deedglass's check reads what the database did afterwards.
- Rubrik Agent Rewind, and Deedglass
Agent Rewind is Rubrik's way to rewind what an agent changed, using Rubrik Security Cloud. Deedglass targets small teams' Postgres writes, with rules first and a check after.
